We’ve deliberately made this a busy schedule, to get the most out of being together in this fabulous country and of course a snapshot of a culture and history that is multi-layered!
November can be wet season in this part of Vietnam, we’ll have fun anyway! So take that deeeep breath, kick back and share amazing times together exploring Energy of Light!
Below is a snapshot of the places we’re visiting, we’ll be placing further details here as they arise.
Hoi An is the ancient capital and an UNESCO World Heritage site. It has a quaint old town and some interesting museums. You may read a little about it here.
Basket Boat Tour offers something different. We ride through the water coconut forest and mangrove forest, where you’ll get to see the local way of life and enjoy the beautiful scenery, learn about local way of life and culture and enjoy boat spinning and fishing crabs. We’re told that karaoke is available too for those not faint of heart!
Walking Tour with guide around Hoi An old town, a lovely experience together that includes the Japanese bridge, old houses of Tan Ky, Fung Hung, Kwang Fang,& Dun Hang . We finish around 6pm and have dinner there too.
My Son Sanctuary is a UNESCO Heritage site temple complex located in the mountainous border Duy Xuyen District of Quang Nam Province in Central Vietnam. The tower temples were constructed over ten centuries of continuous development, resulting in many temples devoted to Hindu deities Krishna, Vishnu, and above all, Shiva. Great to experience the various energies of such a beautiful place.
We return in the afternoon via a 30-min cruise on the Thu Ban river.
Teh Dar Show at Lune Centre for Performing Arts was recommended as a very worthwhile composite of traditional Vietnamese music, dance and movement.
Hue is the ancient capital of Vietnam and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to a very interesting history, it’s also a culinary hotspot for us foodies! We’ve taken all of this into consideration when planning the program! Please click here for more information on the town.
Cooking Class.
In this culinary Class, you will learn about the rich and diverse cuisine of Hue, specifically the flavors and techniques of Hue cuisine. Hue is a city in central Vietnam known for its imperial history and its unique cuisine, which is heavily influenced by the imperial court and the surrounding countryside. Here, an experienced team of instructors will provide you with an introduction to Hue cuisine and cooking techniques and you”ll have opportunity to prepare and cook several traditional Hue dishes, such as Nem Ran (Fried Spring Rolls), Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup), Banh Beo (Floating fern shape cakes), Vietnamese Flan (vegetarian option also available). Your instructors will guide you through each step of the cooking process, from preparation to plating.
Full Day Tour of the Ancient City of Hue.
Hue Citadel, the home of Vietnam’s last royal dynasty – the Nguyen Dynasty, is the most famous tourist attraction of the ancient capital with a large campus and outstanding architectural complexes such as: Thai Hoa Palace, Ngo Mon Gate, Truong Sanh Palace, Dien Tho Palace, Hung Mieu, The Mieu…
Continuing the trip to Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, is a must-visit for anyone interested in the priceless treasures of Vietnam’s imperial past. Located in the former citadel, the museum houses an impressive collection of artifacts that showcase Vietnam’s royal heritage and culture.
Then transfer to Thien Mu Pagoda – oldest and arguably most well-known pagoda in Hue. It is distinguished by its antique architecture, sanctity, and mythology containing numerous secret historical tales in Hue city.

Take a rest before continuing the trip to visit the tombs, perhaps enjoy a complimentary herbal foot bath! Visit Khai Dinh King’s Tomb – which is a blend of Western and Eastern architecture Minh Mang King’s Tomb – considered as the most majestic of all of the Royal Tombs. Renowned for its architecture, which harmoniously blends into its natural surroundings.
On the way back, stop by the Conical hat village and incense stick village (practical experience with making conical hats and incense sticks at local house). 16:00 Back to hotel.
Dong Ba Market is the busiest market in Hue with various kinds of foods and goods. Here you can see how local people buy and sell things and an excellent opportunity to buy souvenirs for friends and family.
1100 am: Cyclo driver pick up at Dong Ba Market to begin Hue Cyclo Foodie Tour.
We start at Hue Cake Restaurant to enjoy Hue’s specialty cakes especially its “bloating fern-shaped cake” with their soft sweetness mixed with shrimp paste, fried onions and sauce.
The next dish is flat rice dumpling, a famous dish in Hue, has flavor of shrimp. Hue shrimp and pork dumpling cake with stew shrimp and pork inside and a chewy dough on the outside, is known as a very typical dish of Hue.
Our guide will give you instruction how to enjoy crispy pancake and pork skewers restaurant in the right way, helping you feel the full flavor of the dish. The next dish in the tour is Banh Canh (Vietnamese thick noodle soup with crab)!

After savory dishes comes the famous sweet soup or “Chè” in a small corner of Hue city. It has more than a hundred variety and fifty shades of colors and mixed flavours.
14h00: We head to Toa Kham Pier for a 60-minute dragon boat cruise on the Perfume River, offering a glimpse of local life to the historic Thien Mu Pagoda (Pagoda of the Celestial Lady), a place of peace and serenity.
15h00: Return to hotel.
